Why the Human Athlete Club? I remember attending a course, and the guy teaching it talked about how the more of an athlete or specialist someone becomes, the less human they are. So this got me thinking about how to help create an optimal "Human Athlete", which led me to how to help men over 40 stay in the game and be able to continue pursuing their passions and hobbies.
As I approach almost 50, my approach to health and wellness has changed, and I feel that many people my age have noticed the same issues.
Recovery takes longer, injuries niggle more, and what used to work no longer works. With this in mind, I decided to make this my life's focus to help people like myself age more smartly with a more holistic approach.
So I created an approach I call M.E.D.S.S, which stands for;
Mindset - Journalling, breathwork, purpose
Exercise - Weights, Mobility, Cardiovascular
Diet - What and how we eat, combined with supplements where needed
Stress Management - Understanding our relationship with stress and how to approach it
Sleep Quality - Dialling in sleep so we can tackle the day ahead.
